People First HR Services

Overall, my experience with People First HR Services was incredibly positive. Brittney was not only quick and professional but also friendly and enjoyable to work with. She answered questions very well and was very transparent and kept me in the loop throughout the process so I always knew what to expect. Now, because of People First HR Services, I am looking forward to starting my new job that is a perfect fit! Highly recommended!

I had a bad experience with People First HR Services. Jessica Dobel contacted me and set up an interview with me about an opportunity in Titan environmental. The interview was scheduled on May 7th, 1pm; I waited for her until 1:05 pm and didn't get any message, email, call from her; so, I sent a message to her on LinkedIn to follow up. She replied me on LinkedIn and told me the opportunity was closed yesterday.... kidding me???

Unfortunately, the recruitment process by People First HR is the most frustrating and disappointing experiences I've had. My recent experience with them has been months ongoing. A friend of mine had been approached by People First HR on LinkedIn for an opportunity and, while she wasn't interested, forwarded the job posting to me. On 5 April, I emailed the recruiter, Tara, as instructed by the job posting, but weeks went by without response. Exactly one month later, on 5 May, I was approached by a different recruiter on LinkedIn for the same position. My initial inquiry about the posting was never acknowledged.

The process, after I was approached, went smoothly—a screening, an interview with Tara, then I sent in my resume and portfolio and everything they asked for. All of this went excitingly well (our conversations gave the impression that I was a great fit for the role and the organization for which they were hiring was one that suited me just as well!) and the team was personable and great to work with. On 16 May, they also sent some corporate personality assessments which I filled out in a timely manner—and then never heard from them again.

I waited a week for a response (the recruiter who approached me on LinkedIn had their vacation responder on) before sending a follow up email. No response, so the next week I follow up again. Finally, on 1 June (more than two weeks after I last heard from People First), Tara replies to me that they have made the decision to move forward with other candidates. I have inquired about the reasoning behind the decision but have little faith that I will get a response.

People First HR, it seems, will do all they can to entertain you if the recruiter deems you a worthwhile candidate but lacks the courtesy to inform you otherwise. Their recruitment process asks a lot from the candidate—I did my best to provide what they needed for me, despite having external responsibilities, but they could not afford my time and effort the same respect from the very beginning.

I recently got my new job working with People First HR and I couldn't give a higher recommendation! Tara and Jenessa asked me all the right questions and really found a position for me that is so perfectly suited for me. I highly recommend using People First, the staff was so kind and thoughtful really making the experience great!
