Not a good experience... have only worked a few events with Lucy and each time has been a mess. I explained to her the last event at Coca Cola, that our breaks were neglected, and they ended up extending our time from 7-9 to 3-10 the first day and we didn't find out till we got there. I explained to Lucy and all she had to say in response was " we were not managing the event". If you were to hear that sort of complaint that staff members not treated fairly, the first thing to anyone's mind was how they can improve... but all the team did was make excuses for themselves. On top of that they kept the same rate despite people having to work outside in cold the 11 hr days...
They did reach out and placed me the first time I needed a job. It was an overall positive experience. After my 2nd unemployment different people keep emailing, texting, and DMing me about the same company that I want nothing to do with. Recently I have updated my profile and applied to a few positions. The next day, I was contacted by a Talent Acquisition Executive who wanted to learn more about me and chat. I immediately gave him information to set up a time but, I’ve heard nothing back. I sent a follow up email as well and again nothing. I don’t know what’s going on lately with recruiters and talent managers.
There three times I worked for this people they had me doing the lowest of the lowest tasks for any project even tough I was "hired" by them cause of my high qualifications and extensive experience. I am visual merchandiser with over 20 years of experience working for major international brands and department stores. The good jobs were given to inexperienced Caucasian girls that did nothing but giggle and say "OH MY GOD" all day. To this day, they have the audacity to ask me for referrals for jobs that I am perfect for without the decency to answer email and a phone call. On the days of social media you can get a better gig on your own, this people are the ones that make this industry unbearable.
I worked with Ashley right after the pandemic started slowing (about 2 years ago). She found a great permanent fit for more money than I was asking. I grew so much in the role. I am so grateful.
I went to JBC before the pandemic but I remember going there for an internship IT department by “CHRISTOPHER PUELLO” this guy put me and another guy in tiny IT room with hundreds of cables all over the place and asked us to fold them and separate them- he closed the door behind us and left didn’t come back - few hours I was so sweating inside No AC no water didn’t even show us the bathroom or introduced us to the company department.
I remember leaving the building after 4 or 5 hours the other guy stayed there. I never went back even though it was supposed to be 3 month FREE internship. If i see this guy again I wouldn’t remember him but if I do i just want to TALK to him inside that room again.
