I've worked with Artisan over the years and I was surprised to see all of the negative reviews here. I've had nothing but great experiences with them, having been placed at several great freelance positions. As you already know the NYC creative job market is fiercely competitive so don't be surprised if you aren't placed immediately or consistently. But if you're looking for an attentive staff who will work to get you placed then I've found Artisan to be one of the better agencies in NYC.
Update: Was told that they would communicate more haven't heard from them since. (If anybody at Artisan reads this don't bother in responding)
Update: Heard back from the company with more useful feedback. Feeling more cautiously optomistic.(6-27-18 - 2)3 stars
Update: At least they got back to me. That's more than I can say for most Staffing Agencies. (6-27-18)2 stars
Useless, took a day off from work to interview with them. Then got ghosted by two separate agents. Thanks for nothing. (6-25-18)1 star

They just send emails. Typical staffing agency. I have never spoken to a live person. Just spam mail they send you with fake jobs.
