GTN Technical Staffing

Darrell Miller, Dispatch Coordinator for GTN Technical Staffing assigned a work order to me a month ago in an app called WorkMarket. The scope of work was for replacement of an UPS uninterrupted power supply). The job was subsequently rescheduled three times. Finally when he wanted to confirm the last reschedule, he acknowledged that the scope of work was for replacement of an UPS.
I received an email the night prior to the install in which the scope of work had been changed to include the UPS as well as 13 AP’s (access points). When I brought it up to him the following day he said a tech would be on site to assist me. When I reminded him that I agreed to replace an UPS only, he did not respond.
Darrell changed the scope of work without acknowledging it earlier which changes the negotiated price. I firmly believe he did so in an effort to get me to complete the entire job on site while only paying for a part of it. This is unacceptable and totally unprofessional. The job was rescheduled multiple times and the scope of work changed without notice. Additionally, had I not completed the new scope he outlined, not only would I have not gotten paid for the additional work, but if I didn’t do it he could avoid paying me entirely.
Yet another consulting agency who thinks their time is more important than yours. They called and scheduled a time with me. I was Ghosted with no response.
(veteran blk male) I was contacted by this company for a potential position. Initial interviews went great. Then when I went to interview for the hiring company I became skeptical of the process. They mentioned things like "having a thick skin" and having "no HR". I finished the interview and called the recruiter (John) like I was instructed. I was told that I would be receiving a call with the results either way 24/48 hours. Well John went on vacation and never conveyed that to me. When I finally got a hold of him today, he first sent me an email to let me know I didn't get the position and he just got back from vacation.

Whoever reads this especially if you're a veteran like myself... DO NOT interview with this company. I would give zero stars for unprofessional behavior and overall experience.
To preface this, I was reached out by a recruiter for a potential job opening I did not seek out GTN Technical Staffing for an opening. Chris was the one that called and left me message. Chris was great and peaked my interest. Had a follow up interview with his boss and it was an "unorthodox" interview and he was quite rude. My interest throughout the interview was diminished and I guess he interpreted it as me being upset. He then had the audacity to tell me "we're going to have a problem if I was upset." (Absolutely wild during an interview lol) And that I needed to take criticism better, which I did not mind the criticism, just interview process was quite uncomfortable and rude. Nevertheless I chose to not continue any further. Chris was fantastic though and the office was nice. Was not my cup of tea.
Working with GTN has been a great experience! I would like to give my recruiter, Brandon Merrill, a HUGE shout out! He is beyond fantastic!! He has a great personality and has been very professional throughout my journey with GTN. I’m am truly blessed that the company found me and gave me a great opportunity which landed me a permanent job. Thank you Brandon and GTN!
