Drake International

I signed up with Drake over a month ago with Bryan Kidd as my rep. I had to initiate a call to him to determine the next steps. After completing and submitting the forms he sent me, I have not heard one word from him. No effort has been made to help me secure employment.. This office is not at all like it was when it was managed by Julia. She ran a tight ship and found placements for all her clients. That was the reason for returning to Drake. I am VERY disappointed!!!

Absolutely awful to work with , have fun getting your pay 18) an hour with city Hamilton garbage collection. My spouse Worked for city of Hamilton 2.5 years through drake international . He’s been Having issues getting his pay and overtime . For months and months and progressively got worse . They told him today ; maybe it’s time to quit . My spouse asked supervisors right away , and they said “pls don’t quit ! You are one of our best guys !!!! We don’t want you to quit. “
(This is extremely confusing and maybe a complaint to human rights tribunal and also anywhere else who will listen -should help with their attitude ) his supervisor tried to fix the issue with his pay . Drake said around noon today , June 30 and I quote “absolutely not . maybe next week , I have to ask my supervisor “
when before ; things were fixed even that night . They won’t answer HIS calls , even the supervisor has issues getting answers . So IN the end , we switched temp agency’s . They are making money off HIM , they work for HIM . DO THEY NOT?
… how can they treat him and others this way??
THE Employee my spouse was dealing with, her name is amber and her “supervisor” is Kelly .
This happened on the 30th of June right before rent . Things cost so much now a days , a lot of people are living pay check to pay check on the verge of LOOSING their homes even , and etc some people even are using food banks . When they have never used one before … we’re in a recession , job availability is at an all time high in Ontario . Amber is playing with fire .
I believe It’s asinine that they did this to my spouse.
He works so hard . Just because They feel powerful at their job doesn’t make you actually any better if you don’t have empathy for your fellow man . Amber at drake international; your first mistake was judging a book by its COVER. When you mess with a good person . The universe shows you your wrong doings .

I only gave a star to post this review. This is the WORST agency I have ever heard of. I was told I was placed at a bakery full time with chance of being hired on through the company. I arrived at the position- it was not a bakery, it was a meat factory. Position was 2 months without chances of being hired on. I constantly contacted Laura with my concerns and she replied rediculously unprofessionally... She is more concerned about filling positions than actually telling the workers the true details. I then clarified the spelling of my name and after she failed to process my direct deposit on time I had to pick up my cheque. She offered to tape it on the front door so I could pick it up, again very unprofessional without a worry it may have gotten stolen. AND my name was spelled wrong. I was unable to cash my cheque.
This lady has no professionalism or she really has no idea how to do her job properly. Regardless a fire should happen. This company completely wasted my time, I do not recommend anyone goes here, if you do, do not deal with LAURA. She is incredibly unknowledgeable, unprofessional and doesn't give a damn.
